Safi has received two rounds of financing from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), a self-sustaining U.S. government agency that helps American businesses invest in emerging markets.OPIC is extremely selective in choosing projects to finance, and performs ongoing business and human rights audits of its projects. Safi's latest round of OPIC financing was granted in 2018, a testament to its ongoing compliance and stability. Other financing came from private investors who are now shareholders.

Safi can make just about any type of apparel that is woven. We can base items on any product you see in our directory, and customize them to your specifications. Or you can develop a product from scratch with a Safi designer. Our machinery and staff can easily accommodate detailed garments with such requirements as inverted pleats, three-step zig-zag, epaulets, patch pockets, grommets or snaps, draw-strings on the pant legs, etc.

Yes, Safi purchasing managers have an extensive international supplier network. If we do not already have the fabric you want in our inventory, we will order and deliver to our factory for you. Our direct relationships with fabric manufacturers means you will always pay the lowest price possible per yard, not an inflated price that has been marked up five times before you even see it.

Yes, Safi offers in-house, full-package production of any item. Our in-house capabilities include every step spanning design, fabric procurement, fabric cutting, sewing, packaging and shipping.

Yes, Safi can accomodate large orders. We operate a large factory complex located on the same 5-acre campus the company began in 17 years ago. As a U.S. Defense Department contractor, Safi produced 60,000 complex, high-quality uniform sets per month for many years. We maintain a very-large, all-Afghan labor force that is trained in automated processes required in large-scale apparel production. Seventy Safi managers were sent abroad to study the industry's best practices in production management.

Of course, any product designed in-house for you by Safi will include accurate price estimates.
